Individual Training Needs Assessments (ITNAs) – known as competency assessment tasks in CAPS LMS -- are assigned every two years by DCY in CAPS LMS. Learners complete their assigned ITNA from their own perspective and their supervisor receives an assignment to provide their perspective on the learner’s learning needs. Once both perspectives are collected, the learner and their supervisor review and discuss the ITNA results and decide which recommended development actions are appropriate for the learner.
The learner adds those recommendations to the development plan to be created. Once created, the learner adds objectives to the plan for any key practice areas they identified as needs in the ITNA, adjusts plan timeframes as needed, and submits the plan for their supervisor’s review and approval. The development plan guides their learning and is automatically updated as they complete learning interventions in CAPS LMS.

Thank you for contacting End-User Support. To locate your assigned ITNA, select Scheduled Tasks from the Profile menu tab OR select the Tasks option on your Welcome Page. I have also attached a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process of completing your ITNA.
