Specialist Notes:


CAPS LMS has limited registration for Preservice Training to one session per learner. This means that if users want register for a different session, they will first need to withdraw from any session they are currently registered for before making the change. This is to prevent learners from occupying multiple seats for a particular course. 


Kindly note that being Waitlisted for a session counts as being Registered for that session in this instance.

In Summary

  • Users can only be registered for one ILT/VILT session at a time.

  • Should a user have trouble registering for an ILT/VILT session, check to see if they are already registered for one and instruct them to withdraw from their current session if so. This includes sessions users are waitlisted for.

  • If asked why the change, kindly inform the users that this is to prevent a single learner from occupying multiple seats, as they are limited in availability.



HOW SHOULD WE ASSIST?

Verify the user’s registration status. If their status for the course isn’t listed as “Withdrawn”, they will be unable to reschedule. In which case, use this SR.

Otherwise, escalate.

Thank you for your patience while I investigated your issue.

I have found that the registration for your training is still active. Until CAPS LMS switches the status to ‘Withdrawn’ you will be unable to reschedule your session. This is to prevent a single learner from occupying multiple seats, as availability is limited.
