Specialist Notes:

Users may request to stop CAPS LMS email notifications from being sent to their mailbox. Unfortunately, the administrators are unable to adjust the frequency of notifications on an individual basis. Kindly provide the below SR should users request that they be removed from any email lists from CAPS LMS.

Standard Response:

We understand your request is to stop email communications from the learning management system. Unfortunately, that cannot be done with an active account in the system. Some emails are auto-generated as reminders to learners, such as for upcoming registered training sessions or completion of a training evaluation.  Other emails are created for informational purposes, and if the message does not pertain to your role, you can dismiss it. The administrators do try to manage email notifications to not overwhelm learners within the system.

The only way to completely stop CAPS LMS emails is for your account to become inactive.  This would mean contacting your certifying agency and asking to close your foster caregiver certification. That action would shut off your CAPS LMS access and stop all messages. We’re not recommending you do this, since caregivers are an incredibly important part of the system. Instead, we suggest adjusting your personal email settings so CAPS LMS messages automatically go to a specific folder you can check whenever you’d like.
